Position Overview

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the accounts receivable postings and communicate them to our company Controller on a daily basis         
  • Contact customers to follow-up on delinquent accounts
  • Identify pricing issues or other discrepancies to determine the possible cause of late payments
  • Communicate with customers effectively to resolve billing disputes in a professional and timely manner
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly closed
  • Create and maintain forms, spreadsheets, and reports using accounting software and electronic billing systems to capture and provide data to management
  • Support Controller with other administrative duties
Requirements:
  • Must be able to work 40 hours a week as scheduled, and maintain a punctual, reliable attendance record
  • Proficient working in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • At least three years of solid experience in an AR role
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Must be familiar with accounting software and have experience with electronic billing systems
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent
Work Environment:
This job operates in a clerical, office setting.  There is routine use of standard office equipment including, but not limited to, computers, phones, photocopiers, filing systems and fax machines.
Physical Demands:

This is a largely sedentary position, however, will require some moving about the office as well as lifting and filing.   This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. This position may require walking primarily on a level surface for periods of time as well as reaching above shoulder heights or below the waist or lifting up to 25 pounds as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday.

Position Overview
The quality control inspector position conducts receiving, in-process, and final inspections of parts and supplies used for manufacture of products, and works independently to help resolve quality issues. The quality control inspector must possess a trained eye for detail and must be reliable and committed to accuracy and thoroughness in the completion of their inspection tasks.
 
The successful candidate for this position will have previous training and/or experience in quality control, metal fabrication, machining, drafting or engineering.
Responsibilities:
  • Measures products with measuring tape, calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machine (CMM), hardness testers, and other inspection gauges.
  • Inspects finished products, products being processed, incoming materials, parts, and assemblies, etc., for conformance to blueprints and specifications.
  • Checks randomly selected samples, and verifies accuracy of documentation and previous measurements
  • Assembly and disassembly of components using hand and power tools
  • Works independently under general supervision.
  • Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products
  • Keeps records and makes reports indicating results of inspections.
  • Uses experience and judgment for establishing task priorities and accomplishing work.
  • May inspect work areas to detect unsafe conditions
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • Proficient in interpreting blueprints that include mechanical, welding, and assembly drawings.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office programs  and willing to learn manufacturing MRP software
  • Proficient in performing calculations using basic math and trigonometry functions
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Must be very detail oriented and willing to learn
  • Must have the ability to work 40 hours a week and maintain a punctual, reliable attendance record
  • Ability to operate (or willingness to learn) fork trucks and overhead cranes to move parts and materials
  • Previous training or experience with portable CMM operation and programming is preferred but not required
  • NDT-PI (Penetrant Inspection) and NDT-UT (Ultrasonic Testing) experience preferred but not required
Physical Demands:

The employee is required to stand and walk for long periods of time; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move parts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move parts up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Overview
The Good Earth Tools family of companies is growing and is looking to add an experienced Director of Accounting to guide its financial systems and significantly contribute to running a profitable, dynamic company. This seasoned strategist will have day-to-day and ongoing management responsibilities.  This position is full time and based in our Festus, Missouri office.
Main Objectives of this Position:
  • Integral Member of the Management Team – being resourceful, energetic, and supportive to the business, employees, customers, and vendors. Will report to the COO/General Manager
  • Company Leadership – a strategic contributor to implement and support the business strategy
  • Financial Performance – help organize and lead excellent financial performance, grow EBITDA, net profits, and sales while helping to control and lower business costs and risks
  • Agility and Productivity – Lead the development and use of best-practices and tools that ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization with strong fiscal management
  • Responsible for cash management, financial strategy, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting, and the day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal controls
  • Cultural fit with integrity, honesty, and a hardworking work ethic with a customer first attitude
  • Help prepare the management team and company for succession and future leaders
  • Strong relationship with the family ownership, management team, employees, and vendors
  • Advise on company and ownership tax, cash flow, estate planning, and other financial items
  • Participate with the building, development, and organization of the Board of Advisors
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the ownership and senior management team to report key financials
  • Analyze internal operations and identify areas of potential improvement
  • Perform risk management through the analysis of company liabilities and investments
  • Monitor performance, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports
  • Manage accounting department and oversee financial IT systems
  • Accumatica ERP utilization, maximizing productivity and efficiencies from this new system
  • Responsible person for all significant assets – inventory, buildings, equipment, heavy equipment lease fleet, and company autos, etc.
  • Insurance expert – handling and improving insurance, including the Captive Insurance, etc.
  • Transition and develop relationships, including insurance, banking and legal
  • Have good working relation with BKD, Schloss and Associates, and other service providers
Requirements:
  • Degree in Accounting is required, an MBA and/or CPA is strongly preferred
  • Significant Accounting experience with 10+ years’ experience in leadership positions
  • Knowledge and experience with manufacturing, sourcing, rental and heavy equipment are necessary
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer oriented skills are required for this position, including excellent presentation skills

Responsibilities:
  • Support Customers, Sales and Marketing efforts to provide solutions to heavy industrial issues.
  • Complete concept, design, and analysis of industrial products consisting of machined components, steel fabrications, forgings and castings utilizing SolidWorks.
  • Qualify and perform engineering change requests as required.
  • Partner with Mechanical, Electrical and Hydraulic colleagues on system design and component integration.
  • Complete new product cost estimating, re-costing existing products, quoting, etc.
  • Coordinate out-sourced activities with regard to new developments in the areas of forgings and cast products.
  • Provide hands-on installation and troubleshooting of new and existing designs.
  • Effectively source, support manufacturing, and offer technical expertise.
  • Develop bills of material, production routings, inspection documentation, and work instructions.
  • Provide continuous focus on the production process and how it is impacted by new product, design improvements and engineering changes.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline is strongly preferred
  • A minimum of two (2) years of related experience is preferred
  • Strong base in SolidWorks or related CAD software
  • Strong computer skills with various software including Microsoft Office
  • Must be customer focuses and a team player
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledgeable in engineering and design principles
  • Must have the ability to work a minimum 40 hours as scheduled and maintain a punctual, reliable attendance record
